Mission

Similar to what Replit did for IDEs and software environment/infrastructure, is there a better way to create AI models and do fundamental AI research?

The philosophy behind Microsoft was to make using computers fast and cheap to use and not care about the user interface. They first tackled the core notion of an operating system, which indeed is a collection of simple instructions to do something complex a.k.a algorithms. Because of the available technology, they were restricted to using the tools available at the time to develop "software" - which was to do so in an extremely low level language - BASIC. But using BASIC, they made something that people wanted at a higher abstraction level which was better than having to write code to do rudimentary tasks.

To build out this thought further, the popular notion that MacBooks are good for programming just goes to show that the zeitgeist behind most successful companies of the era tends to define new and leading computing platforms that fundamentally change how things are done around the world.

If there were to emerge a completely new paradigm in software programming, it would potentially have a huge upside.

Our mission is to make Language Understanding Computational Agents (LUCA) generally and universally avaiable. This is a foundational technology critical for the future of humanity.

To do this, we are building the next generation platforms and tools to help humanity embrace this technological shift by making AI work for humanity, with humanity.

Why Us?

We are Machine Learning Scientists, Engineers and Hackers who are finally building for others like us after patiently waiting on the side lines. We are built differently and envision a future of humanity that is advancing at incredible speed with a general abundance of resources.

Why Now?

As ML researchers and developers, we recognize the immense responsibility that the current technological shift has bestowed upon us. If we are the ones responsible in bringing about this massive change, it is on us to ensure the universal acceptance, an equitable adoption, and a safe integration of these powerful systems. Therefore it is important to start early so that we can impress upon this long and ardous journey our own principles and thought.
